Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith's contract situation is still a fluid, ongoing process, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Huddle Up: Smith is coming off a career year with an 88-884-8 stat line at the age of 29. He's probably going to regress a bit, and there's uncertainty about where he'll be. So if you can get him as a TE2, that's the best scenario. Otherwise, you'll need an upside TE2 for the low-end TE1.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith has been excused from the mandatory minicamp and has received permission to seek a trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huddle Up: Smith has been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, but other teams like will have interest if he is available. He is coming off a terrific 2024 season and could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end depending on his situation.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa said he has focused on getting the ball out quicker this offseason. Tagovailoa said he tried to run people over last season in order to prove his toughness, but he understands his availability is key.
Huddle Up: He was the QB24 in 11 games last season and will be a low-end QB1 consideration. He just carries a massive head injury risk with him.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) was spotted catching passes during individual drills for the first time on Tuesday, June 10, since undergoing wrist surgery in the offseason.
Huddle Up: NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reports that the Dolphins hope he is ready to participate in team drills when training camp begins next month. It's been a less-than-ideal offseason for the 31-year-old, who is coming off a lackluster 2024 season in which he probably was not close to 100%. Hill told reporters recently he is now at 185 pounds, which may be just enough for him to recapture the explosion he didn't seem to have all the time a year ago. Hill makes for a risky WR2 bet in fantasy this year, albeit one with WR1 upside.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith is not at the team's minicamp Tuesday, June 10.
Huddle Up: Smith is among all sorts of trade rumors after having his best season at the age of 29. He's a bust candidate for 2025 considering his 88-884-8 statline was more than his previous two seasons combined. Look for him as a low-end TE1, but you'll need an upside TE2.

Miami Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright told reporters on Monday, June 9, that he added six pounds to his frame and "lost a lot of body fat" while gaining "a lot of muscle" this offseason after dedicating himself to getting in and staying in shape. "Just working hard in the offseason, working on my body. I probably added about six pounds. I lost a lot of body fat. I gained a lot of muscle. That's why it might look like I'm a little bigger, but yeah, just offseason, working hard, focusing on my body, getting prepared for the season," Wright said.
Huddle Up: The Dolphins have been talking up the possibility of featuring De'Von Achane this offseason, but fantasy managers would be wise to remember it was only two seasons ago that Raheem Mostert went wild as part of a backfield committee in Miami. Wright should have that role this season. While conditioning may have played a factor in Wright's disappointing rookie season, the offensive line was among the worst in the league as well. Assuming the Dolphins fixed part of their problems up front by adding guards James Daniels and Jonah Savaiinaea, Wright could break out in 2025.

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said he has been excited about Jaylen Waddle's work to improve all aspects of his game during offseason workouts. "I see a guy that's ready to earn growth to a game that's already top tier within the National Football League. It's exciting for me and exciting for when I go out on the field, because he's humbly approaching his craft, attacking it, so that he's not satisfied with any part of his game," McDaniel said.
Huddle Up: Waddle is coming off his worst season in the NFL last season but should still be a big part of the passing game in 2025. He can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he stays healthy.

Updating a previous report, The Pittsburgh Steelers renewed trade talks for Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith, according to sources Tuesday, June 3.
Huddle Up: Smith is coming off the best season of his career And is seeking a new contract with the Dolphins. He's a low-end TE1 when factoring in potential regression after posting an 88-884-8 line in 2024.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith was the subject of conversations with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they're not expected to trade for him.
Huddle Up: Smith had his best year at the age of 29 with a 88-884-8 campaign. Miami could be looking to sell high on that with regression certainly possible. He's a tricky fantasy option but will be a low-end TE1. Just make sure you get an upside TE2 if the regression occurs as his previous career high was 582 yards.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith reportedly expressed an interest in reworking his current contract, which is scheduled to pay him $4.8 million for the 2025 season, and the team has reportedly countered by opening up trade discussions with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huddle Up: The Steelers are set at tight end with Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington, but it should come as no surprise why they are interested: offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who was Smith's offensive coordinator for two seasons with the Titans and his head coach for one year with the Falcons. It would be a bad deal for all parties involved, as the Dolphins have little of note behind Smith at tight end. Conversely, Smith would not be a full-time player in Pittsburgh and the Steelers currently lack a quarterback who can take advantage of Smith's skills.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill "has been great," according to wide receivers coach Robert Prince. "Tyreek's been great. If I text him, he texts me back. If I call him, he calls me back. He says I'm going to be here, he's been here. And it's been great. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Tyreek, and he's a great leader in the room," Prince recently told the Miami Herald.
Huddle Up: Prince added that Hill even treated the receiver room to dinner at some point this spring. Hill's opinion about the team feels like it could change at any time given his recent history in Miami, but it is a great sign for the Dolphins that he is in a good state of mind after he stated his desire to be traded at the end of last season. A happy and healthy Hill - something that did not exist for most of the 2024 season - still possesses significant fantasy upside.

Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane said he believes he was not as productive as he could have been in 2024 and hopes to rush for at least 1,000 yards this upcoming season.
Huddle Up: Achane will be the main running back for the Dolphins in 2025 and should see plenty of touches in both the running and passing game. He should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues as long as he can stay healthy.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) is still expected to be ready for the start of training camp even though he underwent another procedure on his wrist to remove pins from the wrist, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Huddle Up: Hill probably will not do much during offseason workouts but should be back on the field for camp. He is a productive receiver when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy and likely will be a starting option in fantasy leagues this upcoming season.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) underwent a second surgery on his wrist Wednesday, May 7, but it will not change his recovery time because the surgery was part of the original plan, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Huddle Up: Hill probably will not do much during offseason workouts and could also miss time during training camp but likely will be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season. He is one of the better receivers in the NFL when healthy and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues if Tua Tagovailoa stays healthy.

Texas QB Quinn Ewers was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 231st overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Ewers likely will enter training camp as the No. 3 quarterback behind Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson but has a chance to climb up the chart over the next few seasons. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues this upcoming season.

Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon II was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 179th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: De'Von Achane is the clear starting running back for the Dolphins, but Gordon could see some snaps in the offense during his rookie season. He likely will not have much fantasy value in 2025 unless Achane suffers an injury during the season.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill has not been the focus of trade requests, nor is he being shopped, according to Miami general manager Chris Grier on Tuesday, April 15. The front office will listen should another team make an offer, however. "That is not anything that we're pursuing. Who knows? If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we'll consider it," Grier said.
Huddle Up: Hill, whose last 18 months or so have been far from kind to the star fantasy receiver both on and off the field, appears to be in Miami's plans. Unfortunately, with potential legal and suspension concerns looming, his fantasy value will take a hit, regardless of whether this is left unresolved come the heart of draft season. Provided he doesn't face a certain suspension, Hill remains a risky WR1 and a much safer No. 2.

Impending free-agent WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (Titans) reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $6.5 million - including $3.2 million guaranteed - with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, March 11.
Huddle Up: Westbrook-Ikhine will likely be little more than a field-stretcher and red zone option in Miami as the roster is currently constructed. Given how high the team seems to be on 2024 rookie Malik Washington and the presence of Jaylen Waddle, however, it does call into question (again) if the Dolphins are preparing for life without Tyreek Hill. For now, this signing should be considered nothing more than adding quality depth. With that said, Westbrook-Ikhine has performed well enough when given the chance in recent years to be viable in deeper leagues in 2025 if Hill is traded.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) had surgery to repair a ligament in his left wrist Tuesday, Feb. 25, and will be ready for training camp.
Huddle Up: Hill played through the injury most of the season and managed to play in all 17 games, but he was a massive bust in fantasy. His 81-959-6 line made him the WR18 in PPR leagues when he was drafted as a top-three option. He'll be a top-five candidate again next season, but he turns 31 this weekend. He'll have some durability red flags attached.

The Miami Dolphins may be willing to listen to trade offers for WR Tyreek Hill, although it is expected to take a significant offer for the club to move him, according to multiple league executives.
Huddle Up: Hill saw a dip in production after playing alongside multiple quarterbacks in 2024 but has been productive when starting QB Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. Regardless of where he is playing in 2025, Hill should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is not expected to be traded this offseason even though he expressed some frustrations after the season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Huddle Up: Hill said he wanted to move on from the Dolphins after the season ended but is now saying he wants to stay with Miami. He saw a dip in his numbers this season since he had to play with multiple quarterbacks but is very productive when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. He should continue to be a weekly starting option in leagues next season.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill failed to record a catch of 30 or more yards after Week 1.
Huddle Up: Hill dealt with his own injuries and injuries to Tua Tagovailoa, which no doubt played a role in Hill having one of his least productive seasons. He will still have WR1 upside entering next season, but he has slid behind some of the other high-end receiver options.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill told Pro Football Talk on Friday, Feb. 7, that he is "taking full accountability" for his request to be traded shortly after the team's final regular-season game and wants to remain with the Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Hill was probably going to remain a Dolphin whether he wanted it or not, but it is good to know that he appears willing to be a volunteer and not a hostage (stealing a bit of a quote Mike Tomlin has made famous over the years). The problem with Hill from a fantasy perspective now is that he will turn 31 in March and tied to an offense that made him less of a priority in 2024. Hill is still very much in the WR1 conversation entering 2025 drafts, but he belongs on the lower end.

Tennessee Titans impending free-agent WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had career highs with 497 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2024.
Huddle Up: Westbrook-Ikhine was a TD-only league diamond in the rough, and if he can get behind defenses on that bad of a team, he could be worth nabbing as a great WR4 next season.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa set a franchise record in 2024 by completing 72.9% of his passes.
Huddle Up: Tagovailoa played well when was healthy this past season but missed time because of multiple injuries. He should have a good group of pass catchers to work with next season if they all return and can be at least a high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane averaged 104.6 yards from scrimmage and 6.1 receptions in the 11 games started by QB Tua Tagovailoa, and Achane scored 11 of his 12 touchdowns during those contests.
Huddle Up: Achane was an elite fantasy back when Tagovailoa was under center, but unfortunately for Achane, Tagovailoa has a long injury history. With his value being somewhat tied to an injury-prone quarterback, Achane carries a little more risk than some of the other backs with top-five upside.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith set franchise records this season in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown for a tight end. Smith finished the season with 88 receptions for 884 yards and eight touchdowns.
Huddle Up: Smith was a breakout player in fantasy leagues this season and should be a valuable option in leagues next season. He should be considered a weekly starting option in all leagues next season.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill's 3.5 yards after catch and 1.75 yards per route run were both the lowest totals of his career.
Huddle Up: To be fair, Hill battled a wrist injury and played six games without Tua Tagovailoa under center. After quieting the speculation that he wants out of Miami, Hill should still be in the WR1 mix next season, although not necessarily a lock for the first round of fantasy drafts.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is "committed" to the Dolphins after an "excellent meeting" with general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel, according to his agent on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Huddle Up: His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, attributed Hill's desire to be traded after the team's Week 18 game to being caught in the "heat of the moment." It seems unlikely this will be the last time we hear about Hill's future with Miami, but it appears all is good for now. While Hill's peak probably occurred in 2023, he should remain a solid WR1 option for at least one more year if his wrist heals properly this offseason.
