Houston Texans WR Christian Kirk "has been everything we could ask for (so far this offseason)," according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Teammate Nico Collins referred to Kirk as a "slot magician." "You talk about a guy who is dedicated to getting better. He has honed in on his craft and he's leading our young guys. He's a hard worker, he shows up every day with the right attitude working hard and showing guys how it's done," Ryans said.
Huddle Up: Kirk has one year left on the four-year contract he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March of 2022. It seems likely that is how long the 28-year-old will stay in Houston after the team drafted Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel in the second and third round, respectively, in April's draft. With that said, it is not out of the question that Kirk plays so well in 2025 that the Texans bring him back for another year as insurance for Higgins and/or Noel.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud went 19-for-28 for 245 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round playoff game. He also rushed for 42 yards on six carries during the game. RB Joe Mixon rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries while also catching two passes for 12 yards. WR Nico Collins caught five passes for 81 yards on eight targets, TE Dalton Schultz caught four passes for 63 yards on four targets and WR Xavier Hutchinson caught four passes for 52 yards on six targets.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (rest) was a limited participant at practice Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Huddle Up: Collins should be good to go and a focal point of the offense coming off a 7-122-1 receiving line in Houston's wild-card win. He's a strong starting option in DFS and playoff leagues against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins caught five passes for 38 yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He was targeted five times during the game.
Huddle Up: Collins is the main option in the passing game for the Texans and has posted at least five receptions in four of the last six games. He will see a good amount of targets during the Wild Card game and should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (rest) practiced in full on Thursday, Jan. 2, after being limited the day before.
Huddle Up: There was never any concern with Collins, who was just getting a rest day. There is a concern, however, about how much the Texans' starters will play after head coach DeMeco Ryans did not commit to them playing a whole game. Collins remains a WR1 play entering Week 18, but there's a good chance he doesn't play much with the Texans having nothing to play for.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: Collins will be active for the Week 18 game, but it is not known if he plays the entire game since the Texans do not have much to play for in terms of playoff seeding. He should be a starting option in fantasy leagues at this point.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins landed three of six targets for 59 yards vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17 on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
Huddle Up: Houston has no incentive to play its stars with the No. 4 seed locked in entering Week 18.
